BGC Partners and APBs announce squad to play in the HKFC Ten’s 2011

BGC Partners, a leading voice and electronic brokerage firm, and the APBs are proud to announce its squad to play in the HKFC Ten’s on 23-24 March.   The Ten’s is the first outing for this new invitational team and hopes to be the first of many fixtures and tournaments across the region in the years to come.

For this inaugural tournament, the squad will be coached by Australian legend, David Campese and managed by club President, former All Black captain, Sean Fitzpatrick.

They have brought together a range of players from across the Asia Pacific region that includes current and past international captains, World Cup winners as well as exciting new talent.

David Campese commented on his team, “It is a great squad we have managed to pull together.  A good blend of experience and youth combined with natural attacking instincts will hopefully give us the opportunity to entertain but also be competitive in what is going to be a tough competition for us.”

BGC Partners Executive Managing Director for Asia-Pacific, Len Harvey added, “It is an exciting and unique opportunity to unite world class Asian and Pacific players in one team and bring them to Hong Kong.  We have some of the best international players of the last decade in George Gregan, Justin Marshall and Christian Cullen, whilst more than half of the squad has played in one or more World Cups.  It promises to be an entertaining few days at the Ten’s and hopefully they can win some silverware.”
